based on a childhood memory I’m not entirely sure ever really happened
A little visual development on a spy story I’ve been working on
I spent much of my weekends recently doing some paintings for a vis dev audition at work… Not sure how the whole audition side of things is going to work out, its pretty much out of my hands now. I enjoyed the process regardless. Let me know what you think.

A quick costume study
Its been awhile since I’ve posted so… a quick costume story for a short story concept I’m working on. Rapunzel Animation is gearing up making it hard to get updates up… Its going to be a good one, can’t wait to show the world the stuff we’ve been doing!
The clothes are from an anthropologie catalog.
doing some paintings from mugshots
Two paintings in progress, one of DMX, and another of Woody Harrelson, both from their mugshots. DMX is about 3 hours in, woody only and hour or so. Sorry for the bad photography.. its hard to see if the lighting is any good on that tiny camera screen.

two little guache studies
the 110 on-ramp, downtown los angeles
A painting from reference of the downtown Los Angeles freeway. It’d be nice to paint from, but I’d have to stand in the middle of the freeway. so until I am legend’s zombie people take over the world, from a photograph it will be.
Onkitsuka Tiger #2
Its been awhile since an update… Here is another quick oil sketch of some onitsuka tigers, an old figure painting from LAAFA way back when I took a class from Adrien Gotlieb. Lastly, a photo of the studio’s progress…. the left wall is going to stay gallery like, the right will remain a cluttered mess. Its good to keep some sense of order somewhere isnt it?
