Started taking a class with Nathan Fowkes on Monday nights at LAAFA. A few watercolor portraits to come soon.
We’re finishing up a rather exciting project at Disney in the next few weeks. It’s been keeping me pretty busy and away from this blog. The short is called Paperman. Directed by John Kahrs, the short will be running the festival circuit next year.
We’re very proud of this one and can’t wait to show the world.

I ended up illustrating various palindromes as if they were movie titles. Some turned out decent enough… some feel rushed. This was the longest palindrome I came across online.
Went up to the roof tonight to paint on the iPad from life… Downtown Los Angeles looking east from spring and 8th. The iPad is perfect for painting at night.

April first is caricature show day at Disney Feature Animation. I took a shot at a few co-workers.

Ali and I headed back down to Austin Texas for the music and sweat fest known as South by Southwest. I brought a sketchbook and tried to document some of it. Despite the fact that I may have been drunk and it was dark, I still like how some of these turned out. Deer tick, Naked and Famous, and White Denim were among the years hilights. Its always an incredible time, this year was no exception.
